Constraints

A day of internship counts only if it is both SGK-insured by the university and later accepted by the department.

*This range will soon become 40–46. This page will be updated when that happens. Try to keep your total accepted training days within range 40–46 if possible.
**This means that your second training request must commit to enough planned days for your total to reach the minimum of 40 days.
***There will not be any discounts due to taking this one course during Summer 2026.

Email: <your email address> (you must either provide your @std.bogazici.edu.tr address here or send this message via your @std.bogazici.edu.tr address)
      Phone: <your phone number>
TR Identity No (TC Kimlik No): <your tc no>*
      Birth Date: <your birth date>*

    • Attachment: An image of your student card. Make sure that information on the card is readable.
  2. Wait for your account creation notice. It'll eventually be sent to your provided email address. See also the related FAQ entry: I've sent an email to cmpesystem@gmail.com. When will I get a reply?
B. Initiate the internship
  1. Find a company: Get in contact with companies.** Find one to do your internship with.
  2. Create a training request: See our training request creation form. Agree with your company on the terms of internship needed to fill out the form. Fill out the form and submit.
  3. Sign the acceptance form, get it signed&stamped, and upload it as a PDF: Find this request among your training requests. Visit its page. Generate its acceptance form. Print it, sign it, get it signed&stamped by the company, scan it, and then upload it.
  4. Wait for CMPE decision: The CMPE training coordinator and assistant will either accept or reject your request after a processing period of 5 workdays following your upload of the signed&stamped acceptance form. The system will notify you about the decision.
  5. Wait for SGK insurance: When your training request gets accepted, system will schedule itself to send an email to the Department of Accounting Affairs 7 days before*** your internship starts (it will immediately send the email if that day has already passed). You'll be included in CC of that email. In return, they will send you your SGK insurance initiation notice (4A işe giriş bildirgesi). Their response time will depend on their own schedule and workload.
C. During the internship
  1. Do internship: Work as an intern according to the terms agreed in the acceptance form, on the days you have insurance for.****
  2. Prepare training report: Get a fresh copy of the training report template and prepare it in your spare time (e.g., after work, on weekends).
  3. Prepare completion form: On your last day, fill out the completion form and get it signed&stamped by your company.
D. Conclude the internship
  1. Send the signed&stamped completion form to hesap@bogazici.edu.tr. It is your responsibility to do this as soon as possible.
  2. Complete document checklist: Go to this training's page from your list of trainings and complete the document checklist by uploading PDFs and filling forms on that page.
  3. Make sure your documents are all correct and submit. You won't be able to change your documents after you submit.
  4. Wait for CMPE review: The review will be complete in 10 workdays. The system will notify you about the revision.
  5. Revise your documents according to CMPE review: If the CMPE review asks for revisions, your documents will become editable again. Go back to step D.1 and do the revisions as requested.*****
  6. Once your documents pass the CMPE review, an email will be sent only to the company supervisor (not the department head) email address you provided, asking them to review your training report. They will also receive a trainee evaluation form to fill out. You will be notified via email when they submit their response. It is your responsibility to ensure that they respond before the beginning of the relevant withdraw period.****** Consider sending a respectful reminder to your company supervisor and suggesting them to check their spam folder if needed. Also make sure that you've provided their email address correctly.
  7. Wait for CMPE verdict: After receiving the company's response, CMPE staff will submit their final verdict after a processing period of 5 workdays. The system will notify you about the verdict.

*Required for SGK insurance processing.
**For a list of companies where our students made their internships, see Companies.
***We can't send this email any sooner: Accounting Affairs can process SGK insurance only during the week before the internship starts, and they've asked us not to send this email earlier.
****You should only work on the days you have insurance for. Days on which you don't have insurance will not be evaluated nor accepted.
*****Usually, your documents will meet the rules and you won't be asked to make any revisions. Rarely, your revisions may be insufficient and you may be asked to make revisions for several rounds.
******The relevant withdraw period is the first withdraw period that follows the last day of your internship. Visit the Academic Calendar for the dates of the current withdraw period.

Due dates of a successful internship

It is best if you do everything as soon as possible. Ideally, you should complete the document checklist the day your internship ends, or within two weeks thereafter.

Reasons for deductions

The number of internship days written on your acceptance form may be reduced at the CMPE verdict stage for reasons including, but not limited to:

Such days are not counted toward your internship requirement and are deducted at the CMPE verdict stage.

*These are accounted for based on what you report in the daily activities section of your training report. Report them accurately, and remember that your submitted report will also be reviewed by your company.

Potential mishaps, consequences, and precautions

Deducted training days

Some days may be deducted from your internship due to reasons for deductions. This may bring your accepted days below the required limits.

Precaution: Arrange each training with a small buffer: at least 17 planned days per training, and at least 42 planned total days by your last training.

Not leaving enough time for document processing

Your documents may require multiple rounds of CMPE review, each taking up to two weeks and cannot be expedited. Your company may also take more than one week to respond. If your company's response does not arrive before the beginning of the relevant withdraw period (which is your responsibility to ensure), your training will be rejected.

Precautions:

  1. Complete the document checklist, including your training report, within two weeks after your internship ends. Ideally, complete it before the semester starts, or at the latest by the end of the first couple of weeks.
  2. Follow the directives in the training report template to avoid multiple rounds of CMPE review.

Extra time may be granted only at the discretion of the training coordinator, not the training assistant, and only for special reasons. Inquiries marked as "urgent" may still be handled according to the announced processing times.

Further inquiries (questions, requests, etc.)

If you have any training-related inquiries, follow these steps in their given order:

  1. Scan the Instructions and FAQ for a solution. Proceed with the next step only after making sure that your inquiry doesn't have a solution there.
  2. Send an email to cmpesystem@gmail.com with your question. Feel free to write your inquiries in Turkish.

Inquiries sent to cmpesystem@gmail.com are processed periodically by the training assistant and will be escalated to the training coordinator if needed. See also the related FAQ entry: I've sent an email to cmpesystem@gmail.com. When will I get a reply?
